Scientific monitoring

The BUND project office in Nuremberg has assumed the "scientific monitoring" for the testing and development project "Experience Green Belt" and is cooperating here with specialist offices in the fields of ecology (Büro für ökologische Studien, BföS), sustainable tourism (Alpenforschungsinstitut, AFI) and marketing (Viabono GmbH).
The scientific monitoring comprises the general and overlying coordination of the overall project and of the single main projects in the three model regions under one "Green Belt Roof". The scientific monitoring functions as the connecting "bracket" between the model areas. This applies for the development of expert projects, monitoring and inspection of the implementation, and the evaluation. The concepts developed in the model regions should be transferrable to other regions of the Green Belt. This transferability also includes regions on the Green Belt Europe.
The scientific monitoring involves the following tasks:
Coordination and consultation - the development of a corporate identity and setting up a nationwide nature-tourism umbrella marketing organisation, including a platform for online bookings of tourist offers.
Public relations work and development of the "Experience Green Belt" internet platform.
Nature protection-specific and touristic monitoring, reviewing the results and a subsequent evaluation.
